mary + michael + wedding day = so much love and beauty it’s impossible to contain it in one blog post!

sometimes, fathers and daughters weep because they love each other so much.
sometimes, the face you see at the end of the aisle is unlike any you will ever see again.
sometimes, true love looks like laughter and tears all in the same breath.
sometimes, being a real lady means kicking ass at downing an irish car bomb.
sometimes, the message of don’t give up is so powerful you have it engraved inside your wedding rings.
and sometimes, there is a couple like mary + michael who are so insanely awesome that it’s impossible to just put up a few images to tell you that story…

As the extremely proud father of the bride, I could not be happier with what the Parsons have given back to me. These photos do show the love that Mary and Michael have for each other. There are several that stand out: Mary in her trademark black shirt, Michael when he first sees Mary – I was crying so much that I didn’t see him, the “thumbs up”, in the alley when Michael is holding her, Mary holding on to Michael’s arm, the close-up of Mary and Michael looking at each other, both of the first dance, and Don’t Give Up. Thank you Ashley and Jeremy!

Wow. What wonderful photos — they made me cry. I remember when Mary & Anna were so young, and they both had sweet, heart-felt weddings. Just seeing the photos made me feel like I was there.

Jonas Peterson - 03/31/2011 - 6:59 pm

One of the most beautiful wedding posts I’ve seen in a long time.

These images are mega good. Love the moment the bride had with her father, that is how EVERY father should react when he sees his daughter in her wedding dress.

Rog - 03/31/2011 - 2:40 pm

Just so you know, the “No Parking” shot made me friggin dizzy. Now I can’t see straight and I’m allergic to bananas, so thanks for that.

Katie Jo - 03/31/2011 - 2:22 pm

The first time you fly a kite needs to be photographed

Having been married now for almost 10 years (high fives!), I was blown away to learn something alarming, shocking, and unbelievable about my wife last fall….she had never flown a kite in her life. So, on our recent trip to Cannon Beach, we remedied that situation. And while this trip was last fall, this image puts me in a very “spring” mood. So, happy spring everyone. Hope your week is going great:)

Jewel - 04/01/2011 - 11:45 am

Yes. Yes. Yes. I love this image. The composition, shazam of color, the feeling that it’s from eye of the person (Ashley) flying the kite, and the memory. Nice.
