Jeremy’s sister’s wedding, where our boys were hobbit ring bearers.

all of our couples are dear to us. every wedding is incredibly special. but it’s a completely different ballgame when you’re making photographs for someone you watched grow up. when you can see the first steps, the award braces phase, high school prom, and college graduation day as you make these photographs, it moves you to an even deeper place as a creator. mostly, you just cry a lot behind your camera. happy tears.

and then there was the sheer delight of watching our two oldest sons be the ring bearers. sarah made the mistake of asking them if they wanted to bear the rings while they were in a hardcore hobbit and lord of the rings phase. so naturally, they gasped and said, “we get to carry the ring like frodo????!?!?!?!?” she said yes. “and wear capes and carry swords?????!!!!!” she said…um….yes!

the night before they were to walk down the aisle, tyler looked at me and said, “mom, I think that when I carry the ring it’s going to corrupt me, because it’s so beautiful.”

i think he may have been right. and these little ones are just a couple of years younger than sarah was when I met her. oh dear Lord, please don’t let time fly by so fast.

to watch it fast:

beautiful song by seryn. go here and buy their music now!

to watch it slow:

Got so excited when I heard that first banjo note by Seryn in the slideshow!
Nathan (guitar player with the huge red beard) wrote and played the song I walked down the aisle to – he’s a great friend from college. So excited to hear their music make it around the country!!

And, of course, fantastic fabulous work. Both F’s.

I literally cannot stop looking at these. They’re practically other-worldly. There’s a reason you guys are some of the best in the world. I mean that both as photographers and the Parsons clan, generally. Big, major congrats to Sarah and Creighton!
