Shivers. Absolute shivers. I proclaim my love and affection for the two of you now and forever, because honestly? The word “stale” is just not in your vocabulary. You kick it up a notch every.single.time. And it’s not ever about obtaining a certain look or keeping up with a running theme in the world of photography…every story is different. The emotion is pure and evident in every single session. I’m just so amazed by you and love to remind myself (every time I see your post) to slow down and really take in the moment. You both are so brilliantly alive and present.

The Carters - 10/15/2009 - 11:23 pm

i sit, as always, with the lights off (i know sounds creepy) and watch your photos. it is necessary. it is without distraction. it allows the emotions to pour. i know you have been given a gift, becuz your photos are full of introspection, beauty and love. I hope you are in LA one day. I would love to have photos of my husband and I. We eloped. He got cancer. And now he’s almost beaten it. we are ready to commemorate. you guys rock.

Clayton Pearlstein - 10/13/2009 - 10:18 pm

I stumbled onto your blog through Jeremy Lawson’s and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I really love the toning of your images and the creative compositions you use. One of the composition techniques I like especially is the use of obstruction in the foreground. You guys do a great job. Thank you for keeping this blog up as inspiration to people like myself.

Dev - 10/12/2009 - 3:27 pm

wow, guys. I have never seen anything like these pictures. in 4 minutes and 17 seconds I felt like dean and kim became my lifelong friends and I was able to sit front row at their ceremony. truly incredible. you have such an ability for capturing emotion and sincerity and it’s a gift to anyone blessed enough to follow your blog. love you both!
ps: I would like to submit an official request for a parsons family pics post.
pps: I totally love that every time you post a vimeo, at the end of the show, a picture of ash from the infamous “new years video” pops up! lol!
